Screen Quality
There are two types of screens available – residential grade and commercial grade. Residential use is inexpensive and available locally at almost any home entertainment store. However, these screens are rated for approximately 1800 – 2000 hours of use before they begin to wear out. That’s equivalent to about 1 year of life in a typical business environment (8 hours per day times 52 weeks a year = 2080 hours).  A commercial grade plasma screen will cost more usually 2.5 times more but will be rated for 8000 – 10,000 hours. This is 4 – 5 years of life in a typical business environment or 4 – 5 times the life of a residential grade screen.
